The best of British film talent have collaborated to make a short film to commemorate the 50th anniversary of WWF.
Charles Sturridge, responsible for the famed 80s TV series Brideshead Revisited, has directed the film, Astonish Me, written by Stephen Poliakoff, which is set in London's Natural History Museum.
A starry line-up including Bill Nighy and Gemma Arterton demonstrates the conservation work and values the World Wildlife Foundation have upheld during its 50 year existence.
In a thoroughly British, slightly creepy (it is Poliakoff, renowned for creating unease) version of Night at the Museum, a boy is given a mysterious but amazing tour of a secret part of the NHM which transforms into a zoo of newly-discovered species.
While the fictional new species seem to orientate around size (colossal squid, anyone?), the film has been informed by science and recent new discoveries the WWF has made.
The film is just one part of the WWF's 50th birthday celebrations, which also include commemorative stamps, a 50p coin and a garden at Hampton Court.
