How often have you clicked through collection images with a sense of building excitement, only to realise you?ll have to suspend shopping impulses for at least three months?

Alessandra Facchinetti has the solution for your seasonal lag-time woes. The designer returned to the fashion arena yesterday for the first time since 2008 with a new project called Uniqueness.

The range, conceived in association with Italian chain Pinko, offers a web-centric take on fashion. After debuting with a presentation at Jeu de Paume yesterday, the clothes became available for immediate delivery at uniqueness.it and thecorner.com.�

?I?m excited to have the chance to work on such an innovative and unconventional project, where the freedom to interpret the times effectively becomes the brand?s DNA,? Facchinetti said when the project was announced in June.

Facchinetti comes with premium fashion pedigree. She cut her teeth during seven years at Miu Miu, moving to Gucci to succeed Tom Ford. Later, she was the first designer other than Valentino to guide Valentino, a perch from which she was summarily pushed after management chafed against her individual vision.

With prices starting at around ?90 for a t-shirt and rising to ?1,200, Uniqueness isn?t fast fashion and it?s not Valentino couture?just seasonless pieces, ready to wear as soon as a customer develops an inkling. Take a look at uniqueness.it, and check out the presentation video, below.
