Roitfeld launching a print mag

Between the karaoke, the personal photo book and the season-long Barneys project, Carine Roitfeld has alighted on numerous ways to keep busy since departing French Vogue in January. Now, the front row fixture has declared that she intends to move back into the print realm with the launch of a new magazine.
Roitfeld told Jefferson hack that she plans to launch an ?iconic? quarterly print publication next September. It?ll be in English, as she doesn?t want to compete with her former employer. ?I want to make something really beautiful, chic, different,? she said.
The queen of porno-chic has assembled a dream team of Marie-Amelie Sauve, Mario Testino and Stephen Gan. She even has a name?not that she?s sharing.�
?[I]t's pretty rock and roll,? she told L?Express. ?I could call it Carine Roitfeld in the manner of Oprah Winfrey and put myself on the cover every month as she does, but I'm not sure if this is what people expect. At the moment they see me a lot?.
Anyone currently in Paris can see more of Roitfeld at Colette for an Irreverent signing this weekend. Anyone not attending Paris Fashion Week can keep dreaming of a reprise performance of 'Careless Whispers'�at a karaoke bar near you.
