Christina and Kelly look gorge at the Emmy's
Monday 19 September 2011
So it was the Emmy Awards this weekend and what a night it was for the style stakes. The ladies really pulled out all the stops for this award ceremony and Christina Hendricks was one of the first to set the mark very high.
The Mad Men actress flies the flag for curvy women the world over and she certainly didn't disappoint on Saturday. She wore a jewel-encrusted gown with a plunging neckline by Johanna Johnson. The 36-year-old says she immediately fell in love with the metallic design, saying: 'I thought it was so beautiful, it's the only one I tried on.'
She garnered a lot of admiring looks as she sashayed down the red carpet with ehr trademark pale skin and red hair matching perfectly with her dress. Her series Mad Men received its fourth consecutive Emmy for best drama.
Kelly Osbourne also looked amazing as she turned up in a full length plum gown by J Mendel. She teamed the beautiful dress with silvery blonde hair which she pulled away from her face in a French roll which showed off her drop earrings.
The Fashion Police panellist looked very svelte as she strutted her stuff down the red carpet - famous for yo-yo dieting, Kelly looks as though she is staying exactly where she is this time and couldn't be happier about it.
Kelly was clearly thrilled with her look.

After the show, she tweeted: '@J_Mendel i cant thank you enough 4 the amazing dress you lent me 4 tonight's Emmys i don't think i have ever felt this beautiful in my life!'

It looked like Brits reigned supreme this year too with Downton Abbey and Kate Winslet both leaving with awards.
She picked up the lead actress in a miniseries or movie Emmy, for her starring role in the HBO drama Mildred Pierce.

The 35-year-old played the titular role in the five-part series, which was set during the Great Depression.

Dressed in a stunning red gown, Kate gushed after winning: 'Mildred Pierce was capable of great acts of love as a mother.

?It doesn't matter how old you are or what you do with your life, you will never stop needing your mum. And I will never stop needing mine, so thanks mum.'

Downton Abbey took home the award for Outstanding Miniseries or Movie while Brian Percival took home the Outstanding Directing gong. Maggie Smith took home Outstanding Supporting Actress and Julian Fellowes for Outstanding Writing.
