Saunders launches Smythson collection

Autumn?s most covetable print is now available in stationery form, thanks to Jonathan Saunders?s new range for Smythson.
The Scottish Fashion Designer of the Year�has created a group of diaries, notebooks and iPad cases in colourways from his A/W ?11 collection.�
?I?ve really enjoyed my collaboration,? Saunders said, adding that he has always perceived an affinity between his line and Smythson for the brands? mutual love of colour, detail and quality. ?It?s been exciting for me to see prints and colours from my collection translated into such beautiful products.?
The red/camel and green/blue designs are lined in Saunders?s signature bird-and-flower-printed fabric, already beloved by the likes of Olivia Palermo. It amounts to a collection the designer calls ?simple, chic and surprising? in this month?s ELLE.
?We were keen to work with Jonathan as felt his clever use of colour and masterful treatment of textile print would make for an exciting and innovative collaboration,? Smythson Creative Advisor Samantha Cameron said. ?Our collaboration with Jonathan marks the continuation of Smythson?s work with British design talent.?
