Farewell, Paris. The month-long series of fashion weeks terminated on Wednesday, but not before yielding a trove of fashion riches.
Chloe Sevigny walked in Kenzo. Carine Roitfeld convinced her high-fashion friends to turn into creatures of the night for her vampire-themed book launch. Florence Welch serenaded models and audience from a shell-shaped stage at Chanel?s under-the-sea fantasy. Marc Jacobs orchestrated a girlish Louis Vuitton show in which models stepped off of an all-white carousel and onto the catwalk?including show closer Kate Moss. Street style stars continued to look street stylish. And yeah, there was the matter of Kanye?
Besides the rapper?s fashion debut, all the front rows were atwitter about next September and the Italian fashion industry body?s insistence on bringing Milan Fashion Week into conflict with New York and London. Yesterday, the CFDA responded with an open letter reaffirming their commitment to the ?Second Thursday Rule? (another fashion rule the Italians want to flout?).�
Elsewhere, Kirsten Dunst shared her most important personal goal, and the first trailer for Michelle Williams?s turn as Marilyn Monroe landed online.
